Frequently Asked Questions

💰 T-Gold & TGDPs

What is T-Gold (TGDP)?

T-Gold represents Tokenized Gold Depository Points (TGDPs). Each TGDP equals 0.1 gram of pure gold. When you earmark your physical gold jewelry, it gets tokenized into TGDPs at a rate of 10 TGDPs per gram of pure gold content. These digital tokens can be traded, converted to FTRs, or withdrawn as cash.

How do I mint TGDPs from my gold jewelry?

To mint TGDPs:

1. Log into your T-Gold dashboard
2. Click "Mint TGDPs"
3. Enter your jewelry details (item type, gross weight, purity/karats)
4. Upload purity certificate from a certified jeweler
5. Submit for verification

Your gold remains in your physical possession - only its value is tokenized. The LBMA benchmark rate determines valuation.

What fees are charged for trading TGDPs?

Trading fee: 0% - TGDP operates with zero platform trading fees. You can buy and sell TGDPs freely without any commission on trades. The only fee in the ecosystem is the 4% commission on FTR swaps.

How is the gold price determined?

All valuations use the LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) benchmark rate. This is the global standard for gold pricing, updated twice daily. The rate shown in your dashboard reflects real-time LBMA rates converted to INR.

🔄 Future Trade Rights (FTRs)

What are FTRs and how do they work?

Future Trade Rights (FTRs) are pre-paid credits you receive when you swap your TGDPs. They can be redeemed at partner establishments across five categories:

Hospitality: Hotels, restaurants, travel
Healthcare: Hospitals, clinics, pharmacies
Education: Schools, courses, training
Retail: Shopping, electronics, apparel
Travel: Airlines, railways, car rentals

FTRs are valid for 12 months from the date of swap.

What is the FTR swap commission?

The FTR swap commission is 4%. When you convert TGDPs to FTRs, 4% is deducted as a service fee. For example, if you swap 1000 TGDPs, you receive FTRs worth 960 TGDPs.

Can I convert FTRs back to TGDPs?

No, FTR swaps are one-way. Once TGDPs are converted to FTRs, they cannot be converted back. FTRs can only be redeemed at partner establishments. Plan your swaps carefully based on your spending needs.

📜 GIC & Licensing

What are Gold Income Coupons (GICs)?

GICs represent earnings for Licensees. When you become a TGDP Licensee, you earn GICs from your registered households' activities. GICs can be redeemed for cash at current LBMA rates. You earn a 25% revenue share across three income streams.

How much does a license cost?

The license cost is $300 USD per household capacity. This is a one-time fee that grants you the right to register and earn from that household's activities. Most licensees start with 5-10 household capacity and expand based on their network.

What are the 3 GIC income streams?

Licensees earn 25% revenue share from:

1. Registration Stream: Earn when households you register complete onboarding
2. Minting Stream: Earn when your households mint TGDPs from their gold
3. Trading Stream: Earn from your households' trading activity

All three streams generate ongoing passive income as long as your households remain active.

How do I redeem my GICs?

GICs can be redeemed in your GIC Licensing dashboard. Minimum redemption is 100 GICs. Redemptions are processed within 24-48 hours and paid to your registered bank account at the current LBMA rate.

What is T-JR?

T-JR (TROT Jewelry Return) is a service for returning old, broken, or unused gold jewelry at fair LBMA-benchmarked value. Instead of selling to local jewelers at discounted rates, you get transparent pricing and can receive payment as T-Gold credits or direct bank transfer.

How does the valuation work?

Pure gold content (gross weight × purity)
Current LBMA rate at time of assessment
Certified jeweler verification

You can choose home pickup or visit a partner jeweler. The process is transparent with no hidden deductions.

What is T-JDB?
